At a glance: Visualise how players move through different stages or features of the game to analyse how many players complete certain levels, where they drop off, or how they switch between different game modes.
1. Go to Big Data > User Journey
2. Select the relevant filters to get the data you need for the sankey diagram
First Open date range | Get performance based on a period when users first open the game/app |
Active Date | Get performance based on a period when users were active |
Country | Get performance based on all countries or specific country |
A/B Test | Select the Firebase A/B test version performance |
App Version | App release version(s) |
Users have events | To segment users based on event (only select users who have that event in the selected date range) |
Include Events | To only include selected events in the funnel |
Exclude Events | To exclude selected events in the funnel |
First Event | Select to track from the first event |
Last Event | Select to track backwards from the last event |
Event Params | To further breakdown events based on the event params added "event_x__param1=value" "event_x__param2=value2"

3. Click "Run Report" to generate the sankey diagram.
4. You can choose the view for your sankey diagram by:
a. Viewing X steps at any one time

b. View the first X paths for each step to breakdown the user journey.
Example: View 5 paths
c. Arrange event order from "Start to End" or "End to Start" to trace engagement journey forward and backward.
d. Click on Back/Next Steps to navigate to the next screen with the following X steps.
