At a glance: Investigate raw data in Cost Center for potential discrepancies in Attribution (Campaign), Subscription, and Ad Revenue data.
Using Data Audit
1. Go to Data Audit
2. In the Attribution & Analytics tab, set the "First Open" date and select the campaign* for investigation.
3. Click on Run Report
4. Expand on the Country dimension to view all user-level data.
5. Similar setup applies to Analytics, Subscription, and Ad Revenue data.
* Campaign selection only applies to Attribution & Analytics data.
Use Case 1: Retention Rate differs
If you see that Retention Rate in Cost Center differs from your MMP, you can:
1. Check on the total number of attributed user on the specific day.
2. Correlate that to the no. of active users in Analytics
3. Cost Center calculates retention based on no. of active users from Analytics
Use Case 2: Verifying Subscription Tracking
If you have enabled real-time revenue tracking in Admob mediation via Firebase and would like to verify if the setup has been done correctly.
1. Go to Data Audit > Subscriptions
2. Run Report
3. Check if the user ID is showing up correctly in the report
4. User ID will be blank if it’s setup incorrectly.
Note:
Subscription Data Audit can also be used if your app/game supports multi-mediation services.
Use Case 3: Ad Revenue checking for ad format
If you see a discrepancy between a specific ad format RPDAU,
1. Go to Data Audit > Ad Revenue
2. Set the date range and run report
3. Set Ad Format as the first dimension to analyse the ad revenue data by Date, Country, Ad Network.
